Why It Is Important to Correct Speech Quickly:
- Children with any speech disorders experience difficulties in communicating with peers and find it harder to participate in various developmental and educational games and activities. Without (or with slow) speech therapy, a child’s social and psychological problems grow with age. The more severe the speech disorder, the more it distorts the child’s personality.
- Speech therapy, no matter how pleasant we try to make it, is a rather difficult process for the child. The greatest joy for children comes not from slow and pleasant speech therapy, but from when this process ends and they can fully play with friends and develop.
Therefore, the faster we correct a child’s speech, the more happiness we bring them.
Note that combining professional speech therapy with independent work by parents significantly increases the speed of correction.
In our classes:
- Parents see what and how the teacher does,
- The teacher explains why and how exactly the exercises need to be performed,
- The teacher gives exercises for independent practice between speech therapy sessions,
- We use musical-corrective activities for better language acquisition.
As a result, the speed of speech correction increases:
- Because the child receives a large number of correct sessions per week, (parents practice independently a lot).
Working with parents is one of the main methods I use to achieve quick results. We have also accumulated a large number of techniques, methods, and strategies for accelerating the correction of various speech disorders, which we share with parents.
